Tadd Fujikawa?

After sitting down to watch the third round of the Sony Open I see 18 year old Tadd Fujikawa leading at 8 under after taking a second look and yep he is sitting in the clubhouse leading the Sony open so who is this guy? I decided to find out.

Fujikawa, who grew up on municipal courses in Honolulu and is among the biggest draws at Waialae he did not receive a sponsor’s exemption, He had to go through a pre-qualifying round Sunday at Turtle Bay, then the Monday qualifier for one of four spots.

In 2007 just days shy of his 16th birthday, Tadd opened up with rounds of 71-66 at the Sony Open in Hawaii to become the youngest player to make a cut in PGA Tour history. He went on to finish tied for 20th

The 2007 Sony open wasn’t the only time Tadd found himself the centre of attention the 2006 U.S Open at Winged Foot saw him qualify as the youngest ever competitor in U.S open history (15 years, 6 months, 7 days)

Shortly after the 2007 Sony open Tadd decided to turn pro but until now has not been able to make it to the weekend in any of his six PGA tour starts he also missed the cut twice in two starts on the Nationwide Tour and three missed cuts in 3 starts on the European tour. His best finish being tied 48th at the Crowns in Japan.

Provided he doesn’t get disqualified Sunday, he will cash his first PGA Tour check.
This is about as much info that seems to be available on Tadd Fujikawa but I wish him the best of look for Sunday I for one will be cheering him on down the stretch

Mercedes-Benz Championship

What an impressive performance by Geoff Ogilvy at the Mercedes-Benz Championship in Hawaii leading from start to finish he made 27 birdies an eagle and only 5 bogeys. Leading to a sizzaling 6 shot winning margin over anthony kim.

The Aussie is in top form at the moment adding this win to his Australian PGA win in December and it is no wonder many fancy him for the masters in April (best price 33/1) who knows he certanly has the game for it.

Do u think he is good enough for the masters? tell us what you think by clicking here

Thanks for reading this short post
